POSITION AVAILABLE: SERVICE TECHNICIAN JOB TITLE:General Pest Route Technician REPORTS TO:Service Supervisor CLASSIFICATION:Pest Department JOB PURPOSE:Provide General Pest service in various locations to the satisfaction of the customer in accordance with industry and company guidelines. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Be able to inspect, diagnose a problem and render appropriate service, using approved materials and methods. 2.Productive use of service time and travel (Route Work). 3.Be customer friendly and able to respond to difficult situations and be flexible for unscheduled service times. Make timely call-backs. 4.Attend all scheduled training, meetings, and attain appropriatecertifications and licenses for proper pesticide application. 5.Have ability to sell new and existing accounts. 6.Be able to perform full inspections for termites, moisture, etc. 7.Maintain care and custody of company equipment and collections.Must maintain accurate reports as required for route service. 8.Other duties as assigned. 9. Possible advancement to Service Supervisor EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE: Good verbal and written skills are necessary. A high school diploma and some college preferred. Must be physically fit to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl and walk. Must have valid VA driver’s license (clean record) and able to pass pesticide certification exams.
